One dead in hit-and-run crash on the South Side

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in the McKinley Park neighborhood on the South Side early this morning.
The 24-year-old man was hit about 6:45 a.m. in the 1800 block of West 33rd Place.
The man, whose name has not been released,  was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he later died.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office says the victim’s relatives have not been notified.
Police did not have a description of the vehicle.

No one is in custody.
