Marquette student shot during overnight robbery

A student was shot after a series of robberies near Marquette University.

It happened around 2:30 a.m Friday.

According to a campus safety alert, the robberies all took place near 18th and Wisconsin Ave.

The robber approached a student in a parking lot.

The suspect pulled out a gun, and demanded the student’s belongings.

When the student tried to fight off the robber, they were shot in the hand.

A second suspect robbed two other students.

One of the suspects has been arrested, the other is still at large.

The school will have a normal class schedule Friday.
