A reporter at our sister station KFOR-TV, Courtney Francisco was one of the few to witness the botched execution in Oklahoma.

Clayton Lockett was sentenced to death in the murder of 19-year-old Stephanie Nieman, but his execution went horribly wrong.

After receiving an experimental three-drug cocktail, Lockett writhed and grimaced on the gurney, struggled to lift his head and died of a heart attack more than 40 minutes later, officials and witnesses said.
