Los Angelos Clippers owner Donald Sterling won’t attend his team’s game today, as the NBA investigates whether Sterling is the man heard on an audio recording making racist comments.

TMZ released the recording. It claims it’s of a conversation between sterling and his girlfriend.

The man is heard criticizing the woman for associating with African Americans and posting pictures showing her with Magic Johnson on Instagram.

The clippers play the Golden State Warriors in Oakland this afternoon.

The president of the Clippers organization said in a statement that what is reflected on the recording doesn’t reflect Sterling’s beliefs.

Sterling is supposed to receive a lifetime achievement award from the NAACP next month.
