A 2-year-old girl in Texas survived a dog attack thanks to her mother’s animal instincts.

According to KHOU, Chelsi Cam was dog sitting a friend’s pit bull when it happened. She says the dog came up to her daughter Mackenzi Plass, seemingly curious at first.

“When he smelled her, that’s when you saw it flip because I think he smelled my dog on her,” Cam told KHOU.

When the dog attacked, Cam jumped in, shoving her fist in the dog’s mouth and even biting off its ear.

Camp called 911 and an officer shot the dog. The animal was euthanized.

Several weeks later, the child has nearly made a full recovery.

“I can actually hold her again,” Camp said. “She’s a strong little girl and a fighter. She’s meant to be here.”

My pits are rescues 2yr and 4 yr very sweet. However I bought a pit puppy from some people had him 2 years. He got very aggressive. Sadly I did take him to Vet. She said not my fault bad breeding. We put him down. I could not risk him hurting anyone. The signs were there, I have no children and always kept him in fenced yard, on leash or in house.
NOT just anyone should own this strong breed. Certainly not people that have children in and out of house.
