Man killed in kayaking accident in Geneva

A trip to Geneva turned tragic for a group of friends when one of them drowned after losing control of his kayak.

It happened Saturday afternoon in the Fox River.

According to police, two 26-year-old men lost control of their two-person kayak, and were carried by a strong current over a dam.

One of the men was unconscious and pulled from the river.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The second kayaker was taken to the hospital after he was found floating near the dam two hours later.

He is expected to recover.

    Just letting you know but this is wrong. I was there the man who was unconscious and pulled from the river is the one who is expected to recover the man who was found 2 hours later is dead
