Interstate 65 in Indiana has reopened near the Roselawn exit following a semi rollover and hazardous material spill that also triggered a fatal crash.

The semi rolled over about 10:30 p.m. Monday. No one was injured.

CaptureAbout an hour later, a father and his two children were killed in a chain-reaction crash about 3 miles from the rollover, Indiana State Police said.

The family’s SUV hit a truck that was stopped in a southbound lane due to an accident miles ahead.

A third child in the vehicle survived and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The accident investigation is ongoing, police said.
