FightCaughtOnCamera(KTXL) RIVERBANK, Calif. — A brawl at a school bus stop would be of concern no matter who was involved, but one fist-flying, F-bomb- dropping fight in Riverbank happened Monday between the mother of a Ustach Middle School student and a 13-year-old girl.

“She just came out of nowhere. Her mom punched me in the face,” Desseray Tillman, 13, said.

“Her eye was bleeding. It was swollen. She had scratches. I was in a panic zone,”said Desseray’s mom, Paula Tillman.

“I was devastated because I was like this lady can’t be all there to put her hands on a student,” said Lee Vell Tillman, Desseray’s father.

The Tillmans say Desseray became a target Monday because she landed a coveted bus seat on the ride home from school.

“When we get on the bus, it’s who ever gets on the bus first goes to the back and she got mad because I was sitting in her seat,” Desseray said.

That tension supposedly erupted into a huge fight.

A friend of the girl who lost out on the seat and her mother went on the attack as the girls from Ustach got off at the bus stop in front of Crossroads Elementary.

FOX40 checked the Riverbank address listed for that mother, Diane DeWitt, looking for her side of this story.

Someone could be heard inside, but no one would come to the door.

Superintendent Debra Hendricks wouldn’t speak on camera about this incident, but via statement she said, “The Sylvan Union School District is taking this matter very seriously. School safety has been and will continue to be a very high priority.”

Paula Tillman debates that last part because she says there’s a lack of supervision at the multi-school bus stop where the fight happened.

“When I asked the principal who is responsible for this she just looked at me and said, ‘nobody,'” she said.

The family intends to take the matter up with the district.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the fight.

Due to student confidentiality concerns district leaders couldn’t reveal much about what happened to the students involved in this incident.

Desseray says she and the other girl in the fight received multi-day suspensions.

No wonder our young children are out of control and cold-hearted today, with parents like this they don't have a chance in this world!!!!!

The "mother" should be old enough and smart enough AND mature enough to understand it's only a seat. A seat that neither person owns BTW. What a terrible example to set, no wonder she didn't answer her door, she was wrong.

This is another example of the lack of love and respect we have for each other. The Mom was dead wrong and I'm sure deep in her heart she knows it.Let's all try to follow the Bible principle to love our neighbors as ourselves. The world would be a better place.
