‘Safe Passage’ training begins

Chicago Public Schools officials are getting the word out that there are places children can go during Spring break.

It’s a part of the city’s expanded Safe Haven Program.

In addition to activities, students will also get meals.

There will be 100 Safe Haven Centers throughout every neighborhood in Chicago, mostly in churches and community centers.

They will be open from 8 A.M. until 2 p.m.

Spring break begins the week of April 14th.
