Work on Bloomingdale Trail closes part of Ashland Avenue this weekend

A section of Ashland Avenue in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood is closed this weekend.

Crews continue to work on the Bloomingdale Trail project and will be removing a bridge that crosses Ashland Avenue.
Ashland Avenue between North Avenue and Armitage Avenue is closed through Monday at  5 am.

It could be reopened earlier if the work is completed before then.

Crews are removing a bridge that will be cleaned and painted.
The CTA#9 Ashland bus is detoured to Elston all weekend.
