Russia plans takeover of Ukraine’s military dolphins program

One of the things no one’s talking about in regard to Russia’s takeover of Crimea is Ukraine’s military dolphins program

The Ukrainian Navy has a program dating the to 1960s that trains military dolphins to patrol and attack buoys of military interest, like mines.

They are also trained to combat enemy scuba divers, who might be trying to penetrate security perimeters.

Ukraine has planned to disband the program, but Russia loves it and they are taking it over.

If that isn’t frightening enough — the program also trains sea lions.
