The House Ethics Committee is reviewing the conduct of Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Chicago), according to a statement Thursday from top lawmakers on the committee.
The notice said it began a review after the Office of Congressional Ethics, a separate entity, referred a matter to the House committee last Dec. 4.
It is unclear, however, what actions prompted the review.
“The Committee will announce its course of action in this matter on or before Monday, May 5, 2014,” the statement said.
This is a developing story. Check back for details.
