Victim’s funeral today while police search for hit-and-run driver

Illinois State police are still looking for the hit and run driver who killed a teenager from Villa Park.

17-year old Emilio Perez was killed last Saturday while walking on Interstate 88 Near Joslin after his car ran out of gas.  He was a mile from his car when he was hit by a vehicle .

Police are looking for a full-size truck or SUV with a missing driver’s side mirror  and damage to the driver’s side headlight.

The funeral for Perez is being held today.
