US Airways plane blows tire on takeoff in Philadelphia

A US Airways plane blew a tire when it tried to take off from the airport in Philadelphia.

An airline spokesperson told USA Today that the tire blowout caused the plane’s landing gear to collapse on the runway Thursday night.

A fire official told CNN that two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Witnesses say it looked like the plane bounced before it came to a stop.

The plane was supposed to fly to Fort Lauderdale.

Passengers were rescheduled on other flights.
