Chicago stepping up efforts to resurface roads

Mayor Rahm Emanuel rolled out a highly customized steam roller Thursday to highlight resurfacing plans for Chicago’s pothole ravaged streets.

22 major streets are being added to repaving plans bringing the total miles covered to 333.

That’s 15% more than last year.

The roadwork begins at the end of the month and should wrap up in November.
