Woman arrested in Naperville after 11 years on run

A woman who spent 11 years as a fugitive is being held without bond at the DuPage County Jail in Wheaton.

A court hearing is scheduled on Friday for Erika H. Luna, 45.

She was arrested on February 26 by police investigating a traffic accident in a parking lot at the College of DuPage campus in Naperville.

Luna is a former employee of Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

She is charged in a fraud and forgery case dating back to 2002.  Luna is accused of cashing more than $10,000 worth of checks made out to former hospital employees and job applicants.

Luna faces charges in both DuPage County and Kane County.
