Woodstock streets boss accused of road salt theft

A ton of road salt was stolen from far northwest suburban Woodstock.

Now, the city’s head of street maintenance is being charged as the thief.

Dale Behm was arrested Friday, and he made bail Saturday.

Police say Behm made off with a pile of salt and two snowplow skid plates.

He is charged with theft of government property, and he has been suspended with pay until his trial.
