The exciting win for the Blackhawks at Saturday night’s outdoor Stadium Series contest at Soldier Field also came  with a bizarre loss for the home team’s star goalie.

Blackhawks goal Corey Crawford is now missing his custom-painted mask, which never arrived to the stadium and his protective pads were also stolen.

He wore black pads for the Friday night skate and Saturday night game to go with the team’s black jerseys.  It’s his white ones that are missing; the star goalie’s favorite set.

“It’s the ones I wear all the time – gone,” Crawford said.  “I still can’t believe it.”

Crawford has been told surveillance video may have caught the culprit in the act and that the pads may soon be back on the proper legs.

It does not appear a criminal complaint has been filed.
