A teenage daughter celebrated her family’s legal victory with a rant on Facebook.

It started when Gulliver Prep School agreed to pay Patrick Snay $80,000 to end an age discrimination lawsuit.

Snay agreed to not talk about it with anyone except his lawyers.

But then his daughter, a former Gulliver student, broke the news on her Facebook page.

That included her saying, “Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer.  Suck it.”

So the school took the family to court for breaking the confidentiality agreement.

The family won in circuit court, but the school won on appeal, so now it’s not paying for anyone’s european vacation.

Miss Snay is a truly stupid young woman. Confidentiality agreements are legally binding. Hope daddy puts her to work to repay him his 80K loss!!!

It all depends on how the gag order was written. Was it written directly for/about the father, or did it include "all family members." Specificity matters.

Morally… the father needed to let his children know not to talk about it. Legally… is he responsible if she wasn't specifically named in the gag order?

According to the Miami Herald, Patrick Snay signed a confidentiality agreement not to disclose any aspects of the settlement to friends , media and/or family members. that included his daughter.

By even telling Dana the specifics of the settlement he violated the deal. She just made sure the world got to be privy also. So if you're reading this….shhhhh
Daddy helped to screw himself out of the cash.
