Talk about two teams headed in opposite directions: The Bulls downed the Knicks 109-90 Sunday afternoon for their ninth victory in 10 games. The Knicks have lost six straight.

Joakim Noah’s fifth career triple-double featured 13 points, a career-high 14 assists and 12 rebounds as the Bulls moved to a season-best seven games over .500.

It’s the first time under Tom Thibodeau that the Bulls have scored 100 or more points in four straight regulation games. Seven Bulls hit double figures, topped by D.J. Augustin’s 23 points.

The Bulls grabbed a 59-48 halftime lead over the hapless Knicks, jumping to a 16-1 lead originally and tying their season-high with a 37-point first quarter. They led by as many as 25.
