Apple announced a security fix after it was found that hackers might be able to see your private information.

The patch for the iOS devices prevents hackers from accessing e-mail, instant messages, and bank transactions that’s for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

The patch was released for iPhones 4 and 5, the fifth generation iPod touch and iPad 2 and later.

To update your software, go to: Settings > General > Software Update.

Left unfixed, hackers could potentially read private communications sent over Apple devices.

Experts say however, it’s unlikely that anyone illegally accessed that information.

A fix is not yet available for Apple computer’s operating system.
