The CTA will get an early start on its long-awaited renovation of the O’Hare Blue Line.

Originally set to begin in the summer, the project will start instead on March 21.

Crews will do some track renovation over the course of ten weekends, to eliminate several “slow zones,” and speed up the time it takes to get to O’Hare.

The first station to close for that work will be the California station.

Shuttle buses will take riders to open stations nearby.
