The additional crews will be on the job by March 1st and are expected to fill an additional 1,500 potholes a day.

The crews will consist of seasonal asphalt workers who typically work for the Chicago Department of Transportation on summer repaving projects.

City crews have filled 175,000 potholes since January 1st, that’s about 250 a day.
