Gap.Inc. raises hourly pay for employees

Gap.Inc. informed its employees on Wednesday that starting in June, they will set $9 as the minimum hourly rate for its United States workers.

And by June of 2015, that rate will increase once again to $10 an hour.

The increased pay will benefit an estimated 65,000 employees.

Gap.Inc. also owns Old Navy and Banana Republic and other stores.
