Steady light snow continues across the Chicago area this evening with visibilities generally in the 1 to 3 mile range.

Area snowfall totals have been rather uniform in the 2 to 3 inch range, though a few areas are approaching 4 inches both north and south of the city.

The snow should be winding down later this evening, but another area of snow approaching from southern Iowa could affect primarily south portions of the Metro area later tonight.
