Bulls Game Notes For Sunday @ LA Lakers

stats_logo_400x225* The Bulls defeated the Lakers 102-100 in overtime in the teams’ previous matchup this season, and have now won four out of their last five over the Lakers after the Lakers had won seven straight over Chicago.

* The Bulls lost their last game to the Warriors on Thursday after leading by 16 points, their largest blown lead in a loss since losing to the Trail Blazers on November 22 after leading by 21 points.

* Taj Gibson made his sixth start of the season in the Bulls’ loss to the Warriors on Thursday, scoring a career-high tying 26 points. As a starter this season, Gibson is averaging 18.7 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game, compared to 11.7 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game when coming off of the bench.

* D.J. Augustin scored 27 points in the two teams’ prior matchup this season on 5-for-7 shooting from beyond the three-point line. Since that game (since January 20), Augustin has averaged 18.2 points per game on 45.9 percent shooting on three-pointers.
