A witness who helped convict Rod Blagojevich of corruption may have lied under oath in a separate trial.

RaghuveerNayakRajinder Bedi testified about a meeting in which he allegedly offered the Blagojevich campaign $1.5 million to appoint Jesse Jackson junior to the senate.

Bedi was involved in a separate kickback scheme involving political fundraiser Raghuveer Nayak.

Nayak’s lawyers say Bedi lied under oath during Nayak’s sentencing hearing.

Blagojevich’s lawyers may try to use the accusation as evidence to suggest Bedi lied at the Blagojevich trial as well.
