Former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley remains in the hospital Sunday morning after falling ill on a business trip to Arizona.
The 71-year-old was feeling disoriented while on a plane Friday heading to Chicago from Arizona, according to Daley’s spokesman Rick Jasculca.
He was able to walk off the plane, and an ambulance met him at O’Hare Airport. He was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and remains in the ICU while tests are being done, Jasculca said.
Jasculca did not have an exact time on when Daley was admitted.
The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting Daley was experiencing stroke-like symptoms before he got on the plane, but was still cleared to fly.
Daley’s family is with him at the hospital.
