Hundreds of Gordon Tech College Prep alumni attended a meeting in protest of a proposal to change the school’s name.

A task force is looking into ways the North Side Catholic high school can improve its image.

Two studies have shown that there is a perception that Gordon Tech has old facilities and outdated academics.

One of the new names under consideration is DePaul College Prep to reflect the school’s partnership with DePaul University.

The school lost nearly half of its 700 students, between 2002 and 2010.
