Gang and drugs. The guns were unregistered. The drivers were unlicensed and uninsured. All parties involved were drunk and high. All the males had prior felony convictions.
None of the shooters had any weapons training or driver training other than Grand Theft Auto on Playstation. None of the group could read at the high school level or speak standard English. Five of them were Honor students. Three of them had some college classes. One of the five had a job.

That can’t possibly be the reason. With all the trillions of taxpayer dollars the illustrious and all-knowing gov’t has handed out to improve the quality of life's perpetual under achievers, there is another cause.
Some loose cannon suburbanite has it in for buicks, the passengers just happened to be in the way.
