2 men rescued from Lake Michigan

Two men are recovering, after they were pulled out of Lake Michigan near the Adler Planetarium.

It happened about 11 p.m. Friday night near the 900 block of East Solidarity Drive.

When police arrived, a bystander had already rescued one man.

An officer reportedly used his gunbelt to pull the other man to safety.

The victims, both 25, are listed in good condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Police have not said how the two ended up in the water.
