5 wounded in Elgin shooting

Elgin police are investigating an early morning shooting that wounded five people.

It happened just after 3 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of North St.

Police found four victims on the scene.

They were all taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening wounds.

A fifth victim, also with non-life threatening wounds, drove themselves to the hospital.

No word on what led up to the shooting.

There have been no arrests.
