Coyote snatches dog in Glenview

squad-car-lightsA woman in Glenview is looking for her dog after it was snatched by a coyote.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the woman let the dog out in her backyard Monday morning, in the 2000 block of Pinehurst Drive.

The woman says when she went to check on the Yorkshire Terrier, it was being dragged away by a coyote.

A nearby resident also said he saw a coyote running with the dog in its mouth.

    Now that we can carry concealed weapons…..shoot these coyotes!!! Their vicious animals and are absolutely of no good to anything or anybody!

    They are native wild animals. They belong here. Watch your pets, or buy a real dog, not a cat sized dog. The "kill everything we find a nuesance" mentality is bringing us to our own extinction.

      Agreed, Jim.
      It is the woman's fault. Stupid and lazy. We live in Glenview too and everyone knows there are coyotes around here.
      I am constantly amazed that people are upset when they do stupid things like this.
      This lazy woman should not be given another dog.
