Freezing Rain Advisory, Winter Storm Watch continues

The Freezing Rain Advisory has been extended until 7 p.m. CST  Friday evening, and a winter storm watch continues into the weekend.

This advisory includes Winnebago, McHenry, Boone, Lake, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb and Kane Counties. The Winter Storm Watch is in effect for these same counties continues from Saturday evening to Sunday evening calling for a mix of freezing rain, sleet and eventually the possibly several inches of snow.


Temperatures are hovering just above to slightly below freezing. Showers and drizzle will continue into the evening hours and temperatures, if anything, will be steady or falling.
