Texas woman dies after pulled from frigid Chicago River

A woman has died after she was pulled from the frigid Chicago River.

The 30-year-old woman was found in the water near Michigan Ave, earlier this morning.

Police say she was visiting from Texas and had slipped into the river.

She had been under water for about 15 minutes before a fire department diver pulled her out.

She was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition. She died shortly after that.
