Police rescued a man from the frigid Chicago River just after midnight Friday.

A woman says she was inside her home, on Lake Shore Drive, when she heard a man screaming for help outside.

She called 911, but she couldn’t tell that he was in the water.

Police eventually found him hanging onto a dock and pulled him out.

They say hypothermia was starting to set in since the man couldn’t move his hand or legs.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
