Bitter-cold weather hits Chicago area

This unseasonably cold weather may stick around for a few days.

Friday’s high was 21-degrees– the coldest for the city since since February. After starting in the single digits this morning, highs will only reach the mid 20’s all weekend– more typical for January or February. We found some willing to brave the cold at millennium park– maybe they’re not from Chicago.

There’s a chance for lake effect snow for parts of cook and lake counties this evening. Snow will move into the area tomorrow night with two-to-three inches possible.
