43 extra night games were approved by a Chicago City Council committee today.  The full council will take a vote on it soon.

But the committee wants to hear more from Lakeview residents before approving an outdoor sports plaza that wound allow beer and wine almost year round.

The plaza would be next to Wrigley so patrons can move with their beer or wine between the ballpark and outside.

Charlotte Newfeld from the Lakeview Citizens Council is concerned about a “Disney-like” atmosphere in the neighborhood that would take away from the character of Wrigleyville.
