Police in Boulder were called to an apartment Michael Habay shared with his girlfriend last Sunday, in what was described as a possible domestic dispute.

They forcibly entered Habay’s apartment, and shot him when he lunged at officers with two knives in his hand.

They say Habay was wearing a chest plate similar to what dirt bike riders wear.
