Man, 50, first cold weather death of the season

A 50-year-old man in the Little Village neighborhood is the first person to die in Cook County from cold weather this season.

Daniel Badillo was found Saturday on the 3100 block of West 26th Street.

Officials say his primary cause of death was hypothermia.

Saturday’s high temperature of 26 was about 18 degrees lower than average.
