The longest marriage in America is hitting another milestone.

John and Ann got married on November 25, 1932.

That means Monday will mark their 81st anniversary.

The couple fled Connecticut and eloped in New York to avoid Ann’s father’s plans to have her marry a man 20 years older.

John is now 102 years old and still drives. Ann is 98.

They say her father was furious when they got married, and was consoled by a relative who told him not to worry because the marriage wouldn’t last.
