Firefighters rescued nine people after they got stuck in an elevator at the Cook County Administration building.

It happened Friday evening when county employees were leaving for the day.

The elevator became stuck between the first and second floor.

It took firefighters an hour and a half to get the people out.

No one was hurt.

Members of the group say they passed the time by getting to know each other, and playing games on their phones.
