We are in for a quiet Friday with a mixture of clouds and sunshine and highs in the low 50s.

Changes are expected however as we head into the weekend.

Mostly cloudy skies and breezy south winds will be with us to start our Saturday.

A chance of showers gets introduced into the forecast during the afternoon as highs reach the upper 50s and by the evening showers are likely.

Showers and some thunderstorms will remain likely Saturday night into Sunday.

Temperatures should start in the mid-50s Sunday morning and make their way into the mid-60s Sunday afternoon thanks in part to strong southerly winds.  Showers and storms are likely Sunday as a cold front pushes into the region.

There is a slight chance we could see some strong or possibly severe storms.  Heavy rainfall is a possibility as well.

Behind the cold front we’ll be much cooler early next week.
