With renovation construction looming, the Chicago Cubs have chosen not to open their ice skating rink at Wrigley Field this year.

Spokesman Julian Green told the Chicago Tribune, “We planned for construction to start this offseason, so we had to make a decision on this a few months ago. Unfortunately, we’ve yet to start to construction and resources have been diverted.”

The rink operated on the corner of Clark & Addison for the past four years.
