1-minute forecast: Chilly temps, feels like 30-degrees; High – 40

Chicagoland is in for another colder than average day with temperatures expected to top out near 40 degrees.

Breezy southwest winds and ample sunshine will help raise temperatures a notch from yesterday’s highs in the low 30s, but we’ll still be about 10 degrees below average for this time of year.

Clear skies are in the forecast for tonight with lows falling to the mid to upper 20s.

Mostly sunny skies are expected tomorrow as temperatures rise another level, topping out in the upper 40s.

Partly sunny conditions with a high around 50 is in the forecast for Friday.

This weekend will bring warmer weather, but a good chance for rain Saturday and Sunday.
