The Chicago area got it’s first taste of winter Monday.

Rain changed to snow around 1 p.m. for most of the area.  And temps will continue to fall throughout the night.

Lake effect snow  warning and advisories have been posted for portions of northwest Indiana as arctic air moving down the  full length of Lake Michigan is expected to develop lake-effect snow later tonight and Tuesday morning including Porter and Jasper counties where 3-6 inches could fall. Areas to the east are under a Lake effect snow warning where totals could reach 7 inches.

Ahhhhhh Yes, This is why I retired to AZ from Chicago! No more driving in the snow! Give me the desert heat anytime over the cold Chicago winters! Going to be 88 here today! :)
