A man has been charged in charged in connection with the death of a woman in Worth, police said.  He scheduled for an appearance in bond court today.

Eric Steven Johnson, 20, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, according to officials.  Johnson was charged after police opened an investigation into the death of 18-year-old Brittany Wawrzyniak.

Wawrzyniak was found dead on Friday night after an accident near 115th Street and Beloit Avenue in southwest suburban Worth.

Police would not specify what type of accident caused her death, or what role Johnson played in the woman’s death.  Her family says they believe someone pushed her out of a car.  “We just want the truth to come out,” said Rebecca Tully, Wawrzyniak’s mother.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting Worth Police in the death investigation.

There’s a vigil planned for this evening at 115th Street and Beloit Avenue in Worth.
