The public library in west suburban Maywood is going to open its doors once again Tuesday after closing due to a lack of operating funds.

The announcement came this afternoon.

Library board members say they were forced to close the facility two weeks ago because of a lack of money.

However, loans were approved with the Seaway Bank and Trust Company in Maywood to change all that.

State representative Welch also said Seaway Bank approved another loan of an additional $150,000 secured by the lot adjacent to the library building.

Another $150,000 will be infused into the library through a framework agreed to by the village and library trustees.
