A Chicago police officer was charged Wednesday with criminal sexual assault following an investigation

59-year-old Allen Hall is facing five counts of criminal sexual abuse after alleged attacks on two family members. Some of the allegations date back nine years- and involve a girl who was 13-years-old at the time.

Allen has close to 20-years with the Chicago Police Dept.

His lawyer says Hall has an exemplary service record. He worked the overnight desk at the 14th District.

The Chicago Police Department will only say that officer hall has been charged and relieved of his police powers.
