Mayor Emanuel joined WGN Morning News to promote a new Purdue University business school opening Chicago.

We asked him about another big issue -the gradual improvement in Chicago’s crime numbers.

The mayor said his long-term policing strategies are starting to pay off.

Emanuel admitted, the problem-plagued roll-out of the CTA’s new Ventra card also needs a lot of attention.


The head of the city’s biggest public transit union says the CTA should suspend the Ventra card until it works.
